The Wedding – March 2, 2024

We planned our wedding for March 2, 2024. We ordered the invitations and sent them out several weeks before the wedding day.

The event spanned a couple of days. We wanted to get the families together for a dinner Friday night. It wasn’t a rehearsal dinner but rather a chance for everyone involved to sit with one another and get to know each other before Saturday afternoon & evening. We met at Calhoun’s Pellissippi in Knoxville.

Then the girls went out for a bachelorette party of sorts….

While the rest of us gathered near the room we were using for the ceremony at the Hilton in Downtown Knoxville, the bride got ready….

But ceremony room was ready to go….

So, we used it and got married! We exchanged our vows and our officiant, Wayne, made it official….

If you missed it, couldn’t hear us or just wanted to read them for yourself, these were our vows.

Afterwards, it was time for the reception. Pretty much a laid back, sit and chat or circulate and chat, enjoy the appetizers and dinner event. But, we did do the traditional things including fantastic speeches from our Officiant, Wayne, the Best Man, Chris, and Maid of Honor, Nicole; first dance, cutting the cake and feeding a piece to each other, and the bouquet and garter toss. We had a very casual and relaxed evening with our family and friends. We only hope they all had an equally good time!
