After Arizona’s Joshua Tree Forest, we headed for the Hoover Dam. On the way, the tour bus driver took a detour. This was an unplanned side trip the driver “wasn’t supposed to take”, but he was a great tour driver and wanted us to see something – at the risk of Park Police & local PD barking at him about taking a bus into a lot where it wasn’t supposed to be. As a result, we couldn’t get off the bus. What we did see was Lake Mead’s nearly historic low lake levels.
